Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Mail Clerk for a contract/temporary opportunity in Milpitas, CA. This role is ideal for a logistics, shipping and receiving, or mailroom professional who enjoys hands-on work, organized processes, and providing excellent service in a fast-paced business services environment.

The Mail Clerk will support parcel, freight, and mail delivery operations while helping maintain smooth dock, shipping, and receiving workflows. Key Responsibilities

- Load, unload, sort, and distribute freight, parcels, and mail according to established safety and efficiency procedures.
- Support dock operations, shipping areas, receiving areas, and internal delivery workflows to help maintain organized daily operations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, time stamps, tracking records, and chain of custody documentation.
- Provide professional customer service to employees, clients, and internal partners during mail and parcel interactions.
- Use delivery tracking tools and technology to record received, delivered, and pending items.
- Assist with additional operational tasks during downtime and provide flexible support where needed.

Compensation and Benefits

- Pay rate: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour.
- Job type: Contract/Temporary.
- Location: Milpitas, CA.

Additional Skills

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of prior experience in shipping and receiving, mailroom, warehouse, freight handling, or related logistics work preferred.
- Current state-issued driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency using technology to track deliveries, maintain records, and support mail or parcel operations.
- Strong customer service orientation with a professional and dependable work style.
- Must be able to work assigned hours as determined by the manager.

Preferred Qualifications

- Prior experience supporting dock operations, parcel delivery, freight handling, or corporate mailroom functions.
- Experience maintaining delivery logs, receiving records, time stamps, or chain of custody documentation.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes in a business services, warehouse, logistics, or facilities environment.
