Will be responsible for performing monthly Medicare reserving and reporting. Also will be responsible for quarterly and annual GAAP and statutory reporting requirements. The role involves preparing detailed analyses and reports to guide financial decisions and communicate results to Medicare business unit. This position also provides key support during EY and Department of Insurance (DOI) audits.How You Will Make an Impact:Analyzes and implements risk contracts including conducting experience analyses, pricing, filing and settlement work; and prepares management reports supporting new capitation initiatives.Assists in training of actuarial trainees, analysts and specialists.Coordinates/directs special actuarial projects.Oversees the Group Medicare Advantage IBNR calculations and reporting, managing both high-dollar accrual research and low-dollar accrual updates.Supports the IBC Joint Venture business through IBNR calculations and presenting results to IBC.Represents the team in close meetings for Group Advantage.Prepares the quarterly and monthly IBNR reconciliations.Updates Medicare QE files used for IU2B statutory reporting each quarter.Manages Medicare statutory reporting for G0288 and G8478.Provides annual actuarial opinion support by documenting Medicare provider incentives and other non-lag items, tracking progress, and ensuring adherence to deadlines.Contributes to actuarial opinion support through opinion recon updates and updates to the actuarial opinion memorandum and technical appendix.Collaborates closely with and mentors junior analysts, reviewing their work to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality.Minimum Requirements:Requires a BA/BS and to have passed a minimum of four Society of Actuaries (SOA) actuarial exams and a minimum of 3 years related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.Job Level: Non-Management ExemptWorkshift: 1st Shift (United States of America)Job Family: ACT > Actuarial
