Mechanical Assemblers Needed on 1st and 2nd ShiftJoin a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment as a Mechanical Assembler, contributing to the production of precision brakes, clutches, gear motors, and drives used in medical equipment, farm machinery, and government applications. You will perform bench assembly work across multiple departments, including magnet, gear motor, medical, and electronics assembly, using hand and power tools and following detailed blueprints. This role offers openings on both 1st and 2nd shift, exposure to advanced assembly areas, and clear opportunities for career growth into electronic and gear motor assembly.ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly of brakes, clutches, gear motors, and related components used in medical devices, farm equipment, and government applications.Complete bench assembly tasks in departments such as magnet assembly, gear motor assembly, medical assembly, and electronics assembly, depending on assignment.Use hand tools and power tools, including calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments, to assemble and inspect parts accurately.Read and interpret blueprints and assembly drawings to ensure correct component placement, orientation, and assembly sequence.Handle small parts and detailed assemblies, particularly in medical and electronics assembly, with a strong focus on precision and care.Operate and work around epoxy machines in magnet assembly, applying adhesives and materials according to specifications and safety guidelines.Perform sub-assembly work, preparing components and modules for final assembly or integration into larger systems.Conduct basic mechanical repair and adjustment on assemblies as needed to meet quality and performance standards.Maintain a high level of attention to detail while working in a low-volume, high product mix environment, assembling multiple product types during a single shift.Follow established work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures throughout all assembly tasks.Work independently at the bench, staying on task and managing workflow to meet production goals and deadlines.Use appropriate personal protective equipment, including gloves, to handle parts, oils, and adhesives safely and keep assemblies clean.Collaborate with team members and supervisors to communicate issues, share information, and support continuous improvement in the assembly process.Prepare for advancement opportunities by learning processes in electronic and gear motor assembly and demonstrating strong mechanical aptitude.Essential SkillsAt least 1 year of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing or similar environment.Proven experience working with hand tools and power tools in an assembly or repair setting.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.Strong mechanical inclination, such as experience with hobby auto mechanics or prior medical assembly work.Competence using precision measuring tools, including calipers and micrometers, for inspection and assembly.Demonstrated ability to work independently and remain focused on tasks throughout the shift.Comfort working with small parts and detailed assemblies, particularly in medical and electronics applications.Capability to follow detailed work instructions and maintain consistent quality standards.Solid verbal communication skills to follow directions and coordinate effectively with the team.Reliability and consistency in work history, showing commitment and stability in prior roles.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with electronic assembly and light mechanical assembly is beneficial.Experience in mechanical repair, such as automotive or equipment maintenance, is a plus.Familiarity with soldering and basic electrical and mechanical assembly practices is advantageous.Strong general mechanical ability and aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving.Comfort working in a low-volume, high product mix environment where multiple product types are assembled in a single day.Interest in career growth into electronic or gear motor assembly departments.Ability to adapt to different assembly departments, including magnet, gear motor, medical, and electronics assembly.Why Work Here?Employees benefit from a comprehensive package that supports both professional growth and personal well-being.
