Store Manager in Training

The Store Manager In Training (SMIT) program is a development focused role that prepares candidates for a full Store Manager position through a 16‑week, self‑paced, collaborative training. Key Responsibilities Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to support and lead the store team. Perform customer care duties to provide high levels of service. Execute merchandising strategies to support store sales growth. Manage store inventory and assets to maintain profitability. Engage with leadership during key learning experiences and support the store as a management team member. Lead in a manner consistent with CVS values and policies. Collaborate with colleagues to advance the company’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; a four‑year college degree preferred. Retail management experience or experience as a CVS Supervisor considered. Ability to transfer to other CVS Pharmacy stores within the designated market. Willingness to work a schedule that may vary based on business needs. Willingness to accept a promotion to Store Manager at any location in the designated market. Pay and Hours Full‑time position. Anticipated weekly hours: 45. Pay range: $18.50 – $26.25 per hour, based on experience, education, geography, and other factors.
