Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable individual to join our team as a Sort Specialist. This hands-on role ranges from assembling small precision metal components, to performing basic visual checks for quality, and preparing parts for shipment to customers. Production DutiesPerform visual inspections of precision-turned metal parts to verify conformance with part specifications and quality standards and pack finished parts for customer delivery.Utilize hard gages (e.g., plug and ring gages) to inspect precision-turned metal parts and assess suspect inventory for customer delivery.Accurately complete production and quality records as requiredMaintain consistent production and inspection rates while adhering to all quality requirements.General ResponsibilitiesFollow all standard operating procedures and company processes.Remain vigilant about potential safety hazards or violations; promptly report concerns to management.Ensure compliance with OSHA, DEC, EPA, and other applicable regulations.Proactively contribute ideas for process and quality improvements.Essential Physical RequirementsAbility to use fingers, hands, and arms to quickly and repeatedly adjust machine controls to exact position, grasp, and manipulate very small parts and hold machinery and parts in a steady patternAbility to push, pull, lift and move materials weighing zero to 50 poundsRegularly required to stand, bend, sit and move to operate machines and move around facilityPreferred Work StylesAttention to Detail: Maintain accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks.Initiative: Demonstrate a willingness to take on new responsibilities and challenges.Adaptability: Remain open to change and work effectively in a dynamic environment.Achievement -Oriented: Set and pursue challenging goals with a strong work ethic.EducationHSD or GEDBenefitsCompetitive benefits package including 401k, Paid Holidays and Paid Time Off.
