Retail Assistant Manager – The Fort

Lincoln, Nebraska | Full-Time | $20–$24 per Hour + Commission

The Fort is looking for a motivated, dependable, and customer-focused Assistant Manager to join our Lincoln team!

If you enjoy leading people, helping customers, and taking ownership of your work, we want to hear from you.

At The Fort, we specialize in western wear, workwear, boots, and apparel. We're looking for someone who can help us build a strong team, create an outstanding shopping experience, and keep our store running at its best.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach, and motivate sales floor employees

  • Deliver outstanding customer service and resolve customer concerns

  • Help drive sales and achieve store goals

  • Oversee merchandise presentation, displays, and inventory

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming store

  • Support employee training and development

  • Assist with daily store operations, including opening and closing

  • Help maintain a safe, secure shopping environment

  • Take ownership of projects and follow through to completion

What We're Looking For

  • A dependable leader who sets a positive example

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Someone who takes initiative and follows through

  • Good organizational and problem-solving abilities

  • Comfortable using computers, email, and Microsoft Office

  • High school diploma or GED

Retail management experience is a plus, but we also value strong leadership skills, a great attitude, and a willingness to learn.

Experience with western wear, workwear, or retail merchandising is helpful but not required.
