They drive school-wide student behavior systems, mentor staff, and manage relationships with families to support student achievement. Common duties include managing discipline, conducting behavior interventions, and enforcing school culture routines. Key Responsibilities Behavior and Discipline Strategy: Creates and manages school‑wide PBIS and character education programs. Culture Maintenance: Ensures the physical environment and student interactions align with the school’s mission of safety and structure, and runs grade‑wide and school‑wide celebrations and events. Staff Coaching: Leads staff training on classroom management, school culture, and student engagement. Family/Community Engagement: Serves as a point of contact for families regarding student behavior and drives the home‑to‑school connection. Data Analysis: Conducts walkthroughs and uses data to identify trends in student behavior and track culture initiatives; assesses and drives student achievement through analysis of test scores. Operations: Ensures building entry and exit, transitions throughout the building, and events are run safely and smoothly. Qualifications Master’s degree (or willingness to complete within five years) in student personnel, administration, counseling, or related field. MA DOE license: teacher, school guidance, school social worker at appropriate grade level. Minimum of three years of successful teaching or counseling experience in a school setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent organizational and leadership skills. Solid decision‑making skills.
