Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacist to join a healthcare team in Pittsburgh, PA, on a contract-to-hire basis with an 8+ week assignment starting ASAP. This role focuses on ensuring the safe and effective use of medications in an inpatient setting.

Responsibilities include reviewing and verifying medication orders, performing prospective medication reviews for appropriateness, dosing, interactions, allergies, contraindications, and duplicate therapy. The pharmacist will dispense medications, ensure accurate preparation and timely availability for administration, and support unit-dose medication distribution. Maintaining medication inventory, including ordering, receiving, storage, and controlled-substance management, is also key. Monitoring Automated Dispensing Machines (ADMs) and collaborating closely with psychiatrists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for medication therapy management are essential duties. The role also involves providing medication information, assisting with medication reconciliation, and maintaining accurate pharmacy documentation.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Qualifications:

• Active Pennsylvania Pharmacist license in good standing is required
• Prior hospital or inpatient pharmacy experience preferred
