Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $13 - $13 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a School Cafeteria Worker:

• Assist with preparing and serving breakfast and lunch to students and school staff

• Prepare and portion food according to established menus and instructions

• Set up serving lines and keep food and supplies stocked during meal periods

• Serve meals to students in a friendly and professional manner

• Assist with basic food preparation, including assembling meals, sandwiches, fruits, vegetables, and other menu items

• Wash dishes, trays, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment as needed

• Clean and sanitize tables, counters, serving areas, kitchen equipment, and workstations

• Sweep and mop floors, remove trash, and help maintain a clean and sanitary cafeteria

• Properly store food and supplies according to food safety guidelines

• Follow school, food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures

• Assist with other cafeteria and kitchen duties as assigned

Shift Timings - 1st Shift (Day)

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady

• Previous food service, cafeteria, kitchen, or food preparation experience preferred

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interact appropriately with students and school staff

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform routine cleaning and food service duties

• Basic math skills

• Background check and drug screening required
