Job Title: Environmental Technician

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Environmental Technician on 2nd shift to join our Providence team. In this role, you will be responsible for the transportation and proper disposal of waste drums, ensuring they are correctly labeled and placed in designated areas of the warehouse. You will also be tasked with separating hazardous and non-hazardous waste, loading and unloading drums onto trucks, and maintaining cleanliness by sweeping the warehouse. We offer certification for the 40 Hour Hazwoper course. This position is full time offering competitive pay and benefits!

Responsibilities

• Transport drums of waste and ensure proper disposal.
• Detect and distinguish between labeled substances in drums.
• Load and offload drums onto trucks.
• Separate hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness.

Essential Skills

• 1 year or more of environmental labor experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 40 Hour Hazwoper certification is a plus, but not required.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Great mindset and a desire to build a career in the environmental field.

Work Environment

The work environment is a combination of indoor and outdoor settings, with shifts from Monday to Friday, 12 PM to 8:30 PM. We foster a collaborative and growth-oriented atmosphere, providing the necessary tools and training to ensure your success.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Providence, RI.

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $21.00/hr.
