Job Title: Commercial Construction Senior Estimator

Salary Range: $115,000 - $135,000+ per year, based on experience

Poli Construction Inc is actively seeking a proactive, strategic, and forward-thinking Senior Estimator to join our growing team. This key role is responsible for producing accurate, competitive, and insightful estimates for commercial and government/federal construction projects. As a Senior Estimator, you'll contribute directly to our business development efforts, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure each bid reflects quality, precision, and profitability. • Prepare comprehensive and detailed cost estimates for commercial and government construction projects.
• Analyze historical data and trends for improved forecast accuracy.
• Review subcontractor/vendor proposals to ensure competitiveness and alignment.
• Identify potential financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.

• Lead end-to-end bid process from scope review to final submission.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure realistic and executable estimates.
• Maintain clear documentation and support rationale for bid pricing.

• Collaborate with clients, engineers, and trade partners to clarify scopes and assumptions.
• Present estimates and key risk factors to company leadership and PM teams.

• Refine estimating processes and integrate software tools to enhance productivity.
• Maintain and update cost databases with current market rates and trends.
• Conduct post-mortem reviews to refine future estimating accuracy.

• Create scopes for all disciplines and manage bid schedules.
• Develop high-level project timelines and assign internal estimating tasks.

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of construction estimating experience, with at least 3 years in a senior-level role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel , Microsoft 365 , and estimating platforms such as ProEst, Sage Estimating , Building Connected or equivalent.
• Deep understanding of construction means, methods, materials, and market conditions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a results-driven mindset.
• Proven ability to manage risk and meet strategic goals through detailed forecasting.
