Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor & Delivery (L&D)
Location: Ganado, AZ
Shift: Day Shift | 12-Hour Shifts
Duration: 13 Weeks
Facility Type: Critical Access Hospital
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week assignment in Ganado, Arizona. This role is ideal for nurses who are passionate about maternal and newborn care and comfortable working in a critical access hospital setting.
The RN will support patients through all stages of labor, delivery, and postpartum care in a patient-centered environment.
Responsibilities
Provide care to laboring mothers and newborns during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum stages
Monitor maternal and fetal conditions throughout labor and delivery
Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments
Assist physicians and healthcare teams during deliveries and emergency procedures
Assess patient conditions and respond to complications appropriately
Educate patients and families on childbirth, recovery, and newborn care
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Ensure a safe, compassionate, and patient-focused environment
Follow hospital safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
Requirements
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Minimum 1–2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience preferred
BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
Strong fetal monitoring and emergency response skills preferred
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
