Senior Logistics Analyst – Supply Chain, Toxicology Position: Senior Logistics Analyst. Location: Kansas City, MO or Lake Forest, IL. Travel up to 25% of the time. Opportunity The Senior Logistics Analyst will lead end-to-end transportation strategy across all modes, ensuring cost‑effective, compliant operations and continuous process improvement. Responsibilities Lead the end‑to‑end transportation strategy across all modes, ensuring reliable, cost‑effective, and compliant operations. Oversee parcel carrier relationships and strategic sourcing, including service governance, contract optimization, and performance management. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying inefficiencies, analyzing trends, and implementing solutions. Guide transportation analytics with emphasis on reverse logistics, reporting, dashboards, metrics, and executive summaries. Partner with Finance and Accounting to align freight accruals, reporting, and cost‑to‑serve analysis. Manage the freight audit and payment ecosystem, collaborating with audit partners to resolve discrepancies and improve compliance. Monitor global market conditions, regulations, and logistics risks; translate insights into proactive strategies. Resolve cross‑functional and customer issues, implementing corrective actions and communicating resolutions. Support new product introductions and operational changes, ensuring transportation requirements and documentation are established. Lead international and domestic transportation problem‑solving, including documentation, compliance, carrier selection, and issue escalation. Govern forward, reverse, and inter‑company logistics operations, evaluating impacts on network efficiency. Evaluate suppliers and carriers using cost, service, quality, and risk criteria to recommend optimal network or service configurations. Review contracts and service terms to identify opportunities for cost‑efficient improvements. Coordinate cross‑functional alignment among Procurement, Logistics, Operations, Finance, and other stakeholders to ensure strategic and financial consistency. Maintain system access governance for transportation platforms, ensuring proper configuration and controls. Lead communication of carrier performance, spend trends, and project updates through business reviews and stakeholder presentations. Manage documentation‑linked processes, including supplier approvals, carrier label ordering, and account assignments. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and 5+ years of relevant professional experience. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word, Outlook). Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or regulations. Comfort in evaluating large data sets and identifying improvement opportunities. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, IT/Computer Science, Finance, or Accounting. Database skills. ERP system experience with reverse logistics. Experience managing courier networks and parcel shipments. Compensation and Benefits Base pay: $78,000.00 – $156,000.00 (range may vary by location). Benefits include health coverage, retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and more.
