Warehouse AssociateThe Warehouse Associate is responsible for accurately pulling parts and delivering them to the production line in a timely manner. A successful candidate must have outstanding customer service skills and a positive can-do attitude. They also must be self-motivated, self-directed team players with social interaction skills, great attention to detail, be able to follow processes and work well within guidelines and procedures.Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Includes an unpaid 1-hour Lunch break and 2 paid 15-minute breaks. No nights! No weekends!Summary of essential job functionsUnderstand the layout of the warehouse and bin / shelf location systemsRetrieve and or put away parts consistent with established SOP'sVerify part numbers, quantities, and inventory locations to ensure accuracy of requestsFollow established SOP's for discrepancies such as damaged, misplaced or part shortagesOperate all material handling equipment safely while adhering to all company and OSHA policies and regulationsDeliver materials to technicians or other requests in a timely mannerShip parts to branch locations or ship direct to customer locationsWork closely with team-leader / Department Manager to resolve any task concerns that ariseCross-train on alternate assignment and perform duties in other work areas as neededPerform routine and assigned housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe work environmentCommunicate with associates and display teamwork in completing task assignmentsQualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED EquivalentForklift certification or the ability to obtainAttention to detailBasic math and computer skillsPossess good oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a teamKnowledgeable of safe work practices required in the departmentAbility to remain results-focused in a fast-paced environmentPerformance MetricsTask CompletionProductivity / EfficiencyQuality of workTeamworkSafe Work HabitsDependabilityPhysical DemandsVision: minimum vision required to prevent injury from oneself and others.Hearing: perceiving the nature of sounds with or without correction.Talking: expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken wordContinual standing, bending, squatting, twisting, and reachingRepetitive lifting, carrying, pushing, and pullingTravelN/ADisclaimerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
