Technical Analytics Manager / Lead Data Scientist

Salary: $77,000 - 117,000 per year Requirements:

• We require at least five years of experience designing analytic strategies, managing model development and testing, and performing thorough quality control.
• We require a proven track record of generating innovative analytic use cases to detect and prevent fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement.
• We require at least five years of experience monitoring project progress, identifying technical risks, and delivering high-quality analytic solutions on schedule.
• We require at least five years of experience reviewing contractor-developed models, code, methodologies, and related deliverables before final submission.
• We require at least five years of hands-on experience developing analytic rules and models with open-source programming languages and frameworks.
• We require strong written, verbal, presentation, and technical communication skills.
• We require the ability to lead technical teams while staying actively involved in hands-on analytics development.
• We require the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

• We lead the design, development, testing, validation, deployment, and ongoing enhancement of advanced fraud detection and investigative analytics solutions.
• We create innovative analytic methods to identify fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement across large-scale federal benefit programs.
• We design and implement analytic rules, machine learning models, AI solutions, NLP, anomaly detection, entity resolution, graph analytics, link analysis, risk scoring, and other advanced capabilities.
• We guide technical teams responsible for model development, experimentation, quality assurance, documentation, and production release.
• We perform hands-on development of analytic models using open-source languages, frameworks, and data science tools.
• We conduct exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, data profiling, model assessment, and performance tuning across complex datasets.
• We establish and monitor rigorous quality control practices to ensure analytic outputs are accurate, repeatable, defensible, and fully documented before delivery to the Government.
• We review technical deliverables, source code, analytic methods, and model outputs produced by contractor support teams.
• We identify technical risks, recommend mitigation approaches, and help ensure timely delivery of high-quality analytic products.
• We collaborate with project managers, data engineers, graph data scientists, investigative analysts, forensic accountants, and Government stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• We present analytic methods, technical findings, model performance, and recommendations to Government leadership, investigators, and oversight organizations.
• We support Agile delivery through sprint planning, backlog refinement, technical demonstrations, and iterative model development.
