Our partner is looking for a Senior Ocean Marine Underwriter (Hull & Liability) based in the United States. This is a strategic underwriting opportunity for an experienced marine insurance professional looking to take meaningful ownership of a specialized portfolio. You'll underwrite profitable new and renewal business across ocean marine risks, using your technical expertise to balance growth, pricing, and risk selection. The role provides broad underwriting responsibility and the opportunity to build trusted relationships with agents and brokers across the marine market. You’ll also contribute to policy servicing, risk reviews, sales initiatives, and the continued development of a high-performing marine portfolio. Working in an entrepreneurial specialty insurance environment, you’ll have the autonomy to make informed underwriting decisions and influence business growth. Success will require strong commercial judgment, market knowledge, communication skills, and a proactive approach to relationship management.
