General Maintenance Technician

The General Maintenance Technician completes assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs.

Pay: $29 per hour. The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs requiring conveyor, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, instrumentation, HVAC and other equipment, systems or structures

• Ensure repairs and maintenance to all equipment and facilities

• Respond to spills and other emergency situations, performing janitorial and maintenance tasks as necessary

• Assist in client, site or customer emergencies as needed

• Performs basic landscaping duties (tree trimming, weeding, and watering plants)

• Identifies maintenance risks on equipment

• Ordering and maintain cleaning supplies and maintenance equipment

• Cleans, adjusts, and repairs systems, and performs warranty services

• Replacing light fittings and broken globes

• Assist skilled maintenance, landscaping, and custodial staff

• Performs emergency repairs promptly and efficiently

• Provides technical direction and on-the-job training

• Keeps daily logs and records of all maintenance functions

• Ensures compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act

• Complies with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements

• Assists with customers' queries

• Completes other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Some previous refrigeration/HVAC Trade or Vocational certification required

• 1+ year experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field Preferred Qualifications:
