2 Shifts per week | 16 Hours Each (Weekend Coverage)
5 Shifts per week | 8 Hours (Monday-Friday) Overnights, Team Lead (see specific job post) or 4 pm -12 am DSP Providing Direct Care and working alongside other Support Staff in the home for clients with disabilities (intellectual or behavioral)


Golden Heart is hiring Direct Support Professionals to provide in-home and community-based support to individuals including seniors, veterans, and adults with intellectual disabilities across Iowa.

We are seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to work, providing consistent, high-quality care in a home-like setting. We have many different options available. We're hiring CNAs, HHA's, Caregivers/DSPs

Hiring for different shifts throughout the week:

• Day Shift
• Evening Shift
• Weekends
• Flexible scheduling to fit work/life balance

About the Role

DSPs provide hands-on support that helps clients live safely, independently, and with dignity in their homes and communities.

Responsibilities include:

• Personal care and assistance with daily living activities (ADLs)
• Meal preparation, housekeeping, and home management tasks
• Transportation to appointments and community activities
• Medication reminders (with training provided)
• Documentation of services provided
• Encouraging independence and supporting client goals
• Ensuring a safe and supportive environment throughout shifts

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Willingness to learn, grow, and continue your education through online training (paid on the job)
• Ability to perform physical job duties (lifting, standing, bending, etc.)
• Strong communication skills and a dependable, compassionate attitude

Compensation: $17.50 - $19.00 per hour
