At Glacial Freeze Dry, we make freeze-dried pet food, and our dishwashing team keeps everything clean, sanitized, and ready to go. Before you apply, here's what to know: the pans, lugs, utensils, and equipment you'll clean come straight from production. They'll have raw meat, organs, fat, and bone residue from pork, beef, chicken, turkey, fish, shellfish, and other proteins. Our facility also processes peanuts and other nuts, which may be airborne. This is wet, physical work with hot water and cleaning chemicals, and PPE is required at all times.

Typical Hours: Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Starting Wage: $18-$20/hour, depending on experience.

What You'll Do

Wash and sanitize

• Clean and sanitize dishes, pans, lugs, utensils, and production equipment using commercial dish machines and hand washing
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces like machine handles and chemical dispensers
• Fill out cleaning logs to confirm sanitation standards are met

Keep things running

• Operate industrial dishwashing equipment safely, and report any repair needs to the Production Manager
• Perform basic cleaning and maintenance on dishwashing and sanitation equipment as you're trained
• Put clean dishes, utensils, and tools away in their storage areas

Keep things clean and stocked

• Keep the dish area and surrounding spaces clean, organized, and free of hazards
• Sweep, mop, and clean prep areas as needed
• Empty trash, replace liners, and handle waste according to health and safety rules
• Track cleaning supplies and chemical inventory, and let management know when supplies run low

Be part of the team

• Follow all safety guidelines, SSOPs, and health code requirements, including proper chemical handling and PPE use
• Help production, packaging, and shipping and receiving during busy times
• Take on related tasks as the business grows, with chances to learn new skills

What We're Looking For

• No experience needed. A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn are what matter.
• Dependable and on time, because production relies on clean equipment being ready
• Detail-oriented, since "mostly clean" isn't clean enough in food production
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions, including safety and chemical procedures
• Comfortable working on your own and as part of a team

The Physical Side

This is an active, on-your-feet job. With or without reasonable accommodation, you'll need to be able to:

• Stand and walk for most of your shift
• Bend, reach, scrub, and lift and carry pans, lugs, and equipment throughout the day
• Work in wet conditions with hot water, steam, and cleaning chemicals
• Handle equipment with raw animal product residue
