Forklift Operator

divh2Job Position/h2pThis position is responsible for the pulling/picking and loading of all outbound shipments and unloading/movement of all inbound deliveries to the facility./ph3Duties and Responsibilities:/h3ulliOperates a propane sit-down forklift./liliSort shipments for destination and group merchandise to be included with or fulfilled in an order./liliLoading of finished materials for transport and unloading of raw materials./liliMoving products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment./liliInspect the forklift to determine the need for repairs and to guarantee safety./liliVerify piece counts on each pallet and compares to label./liliMaterial handling of all products./liliFollow shipping work orders./liliOther duties as assigned/li/ulh3Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:/h3ulliExcellent communication, organization, and time management skills./liliHighly motivated with good sound work ethics./liliMust demonstrate safe working practices and possess great attention to detail./liliTeam player able to follow instructions from management and peers./liliAbility to learn and operate new equipment./liliAbility to use measuring devices (gauges, tapes, rulers)./liliStrong problem-solving skills and math skills with the capability to calculate square footage and batch size./li/ulh3Education and Experience:/h3pRequired:/pulliHigh School diploma or equivalent is required./liliMinimum of one (1) year previous forklift experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in Shipping and Receiving./li/ulh3Working Conditions:/h3ulliFast paced manufacturing environment, loading dock, and driveways.
