Central Machinery Sales, Inc.  is looking for an experienced  PARTS COUNTER SALES PERSON  in our Hermiston, OR location. This person will be responsible for working with customers in person and over the phone to fill their needs related heavy duty agricultural/farm and construction equipment. This person should have a working knowledge of equipment in order to help diagnose issues as described by the customer, fulfill parts needs, and recommend solutions.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist customers and service technicians with parts selection and orders
• Answer phones and assist customers with needs
• Stock incoming parts following company guidelines
• Able to read parts catalogs, either physically printed or on computer to assist customers with obtaining the correct part or working substitution.
• Deal effectively with returns.
• Determining proper procedure to efficiently take care of the customer’s needs
• Keep work area clean and organized at all time.
• Assist with inventory as needed
• Keep manager informed of parts needs or requests
• Assist with merchandising of store, set up of display areas including advertising and promotional areas
• Process sales according to company policy and procedure

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent GED
• Minimum 1 year parts counter sales experience in agriculture or construction equipment parts, or automotive parts.
• Knowledge of Ag/Construction equipment is a plus
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. unaided.
• This position is a physical role that requires long periods of standing, bending, kneeling and reaching overhead.
• Ability to work in fast-paced and at times stressful environment

Rate of Pay: $20.00 - $27.00, depending on experience

Central Machinery Sales is your dealer for the following product lines: Case IH, Case Construction, Kuhn, JCB, Schulte, Great Plains, MacDon, Freeman, JBS Spreaders, Yanmar, Allied Construction Products, PSM, Unverferth, Indeco, Degelman and many others.
