Requirements: 26-week contracts. Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.

Required: RNs must have one year of inpatient experience minimum in the related department with the trauma level shown below
Required: One year of travel experience is preferred but will consider six months’ travel
Required: All Candidates are expected to Float as needed.

Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT

Job Summary: Under general supervision, the Respiratory Care Practitioner will provide services for the Respiratory Therapy Department in a timely and efficient manner for all appropriate age levels and in all areas served by the department. Responsibilities include administering therapeutic treatments as prescribed by medical staff, recording treatment information and patient responses, performing diagnostic testing and monitoring, providing age-appropriate care, maintaining respiratory equipment, and participating in quick response teams for cardiac and respiratory arrests.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program.
• Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
• Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Current Basic Life Support certification issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification (American Heart Association) within 3 months of hire.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential must be received within 12 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Two (2) years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting.

Additional Information:

• Knowledge of procedures and techniques of Respiratory Therapy and the operation and repair of respiratory equipment.
• Clinical decision-making skills appropriate to patient care as it relates to the pulmonary and cardiac system and to the age of the patient.
• Ability to interpret the appropriate information to identify patient’s needs.
• Ability to work under stress.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to maintain a good working relationship with coworkers and staff.
• Some computer skills.
