Job Title: X-Ray Technologist

Founded in 1950, Central Indiana Orthopedics (CIO), a proud partner of OrthoAlliance, is an independent orthopedic practice in central Indiana providing compassionate, expert care for bone, joint and muscle conditions. CIO offers comprehensive orthopedic services, including joint replacement and revision, podiatry, spine and interventional pain management, sports medicine and work-related injury care. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiological procedures by explaining the process, positioning patients correctly, and performing X-rays in accordance with established patient care and safety standards.
• Operate and maintain X-ray equipment, ensuring proper functionality and reporting any malfunctions or concerns promptly to a supervisor.
• Utilize and maintain radiation protection and shielding equipment to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Accurately document and enter radiological procedure data into the electronic health record (EHR) system in a timely manner.
• Maintain examination rooms by ensuring cleanliness, proper stocking of supplies, and adherence to sterilization protocols for equipment and surfaces.
• Monitor and evaluate imaging results to ensure quality and accuracy, following established guidelines.
• Protect patient confidentiality and uphold privacy standards in all interactions and documentation.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and maintain required certifications and professional affiliations.
• Attend and actively participate in organizational meetings, trainings, and committees as required.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited X-Ray program.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• 1 year X-ray technician in an outpatient orthopedic clinic preferred.
• Good verbal, written, and telephone skills.
• Ability to educate patients on procedures being performed.
• Multi-task oriented and can work in a fast-paced environment.
