Location: Rural Community Hospital, Hawaii

Position Summary

Seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery and Nursery RN for a rural community hospital in Hawaii. The RN will provide care to laboring and postpartum patients as well as newborns, with an emphasis on couplet care . The facility averages approximately 45 50 deliveries per month .

Must-Have Requirements

• Labor & Delivery experience is mandatory.
• Must already possess a current Hawaii RN license .
• Experience with couplet care required.
• Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring experience required.
• Must be able to work 12-hour night shifts .

Key Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients throughout Labor & Delivery and postpartum.
• Provide couplet care for mothers and newborns.
• Provide nursery nursing care as needed.
• Assess maternal and newborn conditions and respond appropriately to changes.
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
• May float to assist other departments, but will not be used as a primary nurse in those departments.
• May be assigned Charge Nurse responsibilities when qualified.

Charge Nurse Differential

When assigned charge nurse duties, the RN receives an additional $2.00/hour .

Schedule & Hours

• 12-hour night shifts
• 72 80 working hours every two weeks

Unit Volume

• Approximately 45 50 deliveries per month
