2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent Golf course at Isle of Palms, South Carolina is looking for a 2nd Assistant Golf Course Superintendent. Position Overview Direct and participate in the maintenance of the golf course. Supervises staff and performs related work. The position will assist in maintaining the AAA Four Diamond standards and provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests, exemplifying company culture. Duties Day‑to‑day management and supervision of greenskeeping staff. Fulfill the range of duties of an equipment operator and greenskeeper. Train staff. Design, install and repair irrigation systems. Design, install and repair drainage systems. Manage irrigation responsibilities. Manage the use of chemicals and fertilizers. Apply and supervise the application of chemicals and fertilizers. Assist in personnel management and evaluation, including colleague safety and training, personnel discipline, assigning duties, motivating and appraising staff. Maintain an acceptable grooming and uniform appearance. Consistently act as a role model for all Wild Dunes colleagues. Assist the golf course superintendent in coordinating staff meetings. Requirements High school education or equivalent. Experience in golf course maintenance. Degree in turf management (preferred). Management and supervisory experience (preferred). Must be authorized to work in the United States. Must have a valid driver license and meet company driving standards. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Must have a strong technical gasoline and diesel engine background. Excellent equipment operation skills. Must have required tools of the trade.
