Job Title: Operations Manager – Night Shift (Durham Facility) Our Manufacturing Operations teams are the people that make our products. We work in the manufacturing plants with a “Safety First, Quality Always” mindset striving for continuous improvement. We work in the local plant connected to our global manufacturing network to ensure the highest quality of raw materials, intermediates and finished products. Position Overview This is a night shift position, 12.5‑hour 6:00PM – 6:30AM rotation (2‑2‑3). The Operations Manager at the Durham facility provides direction, coaching, and technical expertise to operations personnel responsible for the manufacturing processes, ensuring reliable support of customer demand. Responsibilities Develop, motivate, and manage a team to ensure reliable manufacturing process execution. Assign yearly performance objectives for the team and provide regular feedback and coaching. Lead and support daily (Tier) meetings to facilitate flow of information up/down through the organization. Champion standard work and drive consistent use of best practices across teams. Guide the team in troubleshooting issues to minimize downtime and maintain product quality. Identify opportunities to improve processes (e.g., cycle times, ease of execution, reliability) and support implementation. Serve as a subject‑matter expert during tours to provide area/process overview information to visitors and auditors. Foster a strong safety culture and drive compliance through coaching and consistent quality‑driven decision making. Participate in safety and regulatory audits and document corrective/preventive actions. Coach the team on SAP transaction completion and manage staffing to meet customer demand while staying within budget. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Life Science or Engineering preferred. Minimum six (6) years of experience in manufacturing, technical, support, or military roles, or at least three (3) years with a Bachelor’s degree. Experience leading a team (direct supervision or project leadership) and managing multiple priorities. Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Willingness to work a 12‑hour rotation (2‑2‑3) including alternating weekends and holidays. Preferred Qualifications Previous supervisory experience in a GMP‑regulated manufacturing environment. Experience with electronic manufacturing systems such as PAS‑X, SAP, or Delta‑V. Experience interacting with regulatory auditors during area tours or topic discussions. Lean Six Sigma certification. Benefits & Compensation Salary range: $96,200.00 – $151,400.00. Eligible for annual bonus and long‑term incentive if applicable.
