Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: New York License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Must have New York license in hand. First-time travelers accepted. Floating is required. Candidates must reside within a 75-mile radius. Patient ratio experience of 1:5 to 1:7 for MedSurg. EPIC charting experience required. Description: This role involves caring for acute stroke patients and other neurological disorders. The unit focuses on evidence-based care during the primary prevention and acute care phases of a stroke. Registered Nurses in this position will provide comprehensive nursing care. They will perform duties such as cardiac monitoring and emergency response. Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias are essential. Peripheral line care and management along with IV therapy and phlebotomy will be part of the responsibilities. Nurses will also manage oxygen delivery using nasal cannula and face masks. Non-invasive airway management is required. Isolation precautions should be followed diligently while delivering care. Knowledge of acute medical patient care is essential. This is a fast-paced environment where teamwork and communication are vital.
