As a Toddler Teacher  at the award-winning Primrose School of Evergreen , San Jose, CA you will provide a safe and loving environment for babies ranging in age from 12 to 24 months old. Through a daily schedule of purposeful play, you’ll help lay a strong foundation as children navigate a classroom environment, build their motor skills and grow their vocabulary.

What Your Experience Looks like as a Primrose Teacher:

Qualifications:

• MUST have 12 core Early Childhood Education units with a grade of C or better required. (Child development, Child-family-community, two Curriculum classes), along with 3 units in Infant/Toddler required.
• Must have patience and a strong desire to love and nurture young children
• Work experience in a licensed childcare facility preferred
• Must meet required state background check
• Must be able to work on an iPad to enter children's daily logs and write incident reports and messages to parents. 

Responsibilities: 

• Engage, interact, and supervise children in positive ways to support their growth and learning
• Provides an safe, attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and decision-making by the children
• Plan with the Education Coach and implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule using the Primrose School curriculum outlines and materials
• Complete, supervise and monitor continual evaluation of each child’s developmental needs 
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and childcare regulations.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's development and classroom activities.
