The Art Therapist provide therapeutic recreational and activity services to adult, adolescent or child patients under Brentwood's care for emotional or substance abuse problems. T he contract therapist will provide music therapy or art therapy activities under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Therapies are age appropriate, consistent with level of growth, development, and functioning, consistent with overall treatment goals, demonstrates sound application of theory/methodology and contributes effectively to patient progress. Sufficiently plans and prepares for activities; reports to assigned groups in timely fashion. Maintains the administrative documentation associated with services rendered. Participates in the effective allocation of departmental resources; provides requested budget and purchasing input to supervisor in a timely and accurate manner. Participates in the ongoing implementation of the department’s or service’s continuous quality improvement plan. Qualifications Education: Master's degree in Art therapy required Licensure/Certification: ATR-P, ATR preferred Experience : Previous behavioral health experience preferred Hours: Determined by the Director of Clinical Services according to the needs of the facility and contract therapist availability.
