Job Overview
The Data Center Technician supports the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and reliability of equipment and infrastructure within a data center environment.
Responsibilities differ depending on whether the position focuses on server hardware, networking, infrastructure operations, or another technical specialty.
Key Responsibilities
- Install or replace data center hardware.
- Troubleshoot hardware or connectivity problems.
- Perform equipment inspections and diagnostics.
- Support server, rack, cabling, or network infrastructure.
- Follow established technical and safety procedures.
- Document repairs and maintenance activity.
- Respond to equipment incidents.
- Escalate complex technical problems.
- Maintain accurate equipment or asset records.
- Coordinate technical activities with other data center teams.
- Support reliability and availability of data center systems.
