We're looking for a Financial Systems Analyst to support and optimize our PowerPlan environment and related financial systems that drive asset and project accounting. This role is central to ensuring data integrity, regulatory compliance, and smooth fixed asset lifecycle operations for one of the nation's largest power generation cooperatives. What You'll Do As the functional expert, you will: Serve as the go‑to business administrator for PowerPlan and related financial systems, overseeing configuration, system integrity, security coordination, and ongoing maintenance Stay current on system capabilities, accounting requirements, and industry best practices‑recommending improvements that enhance efficiency, controls, and reporting Ensure reliable, compliant, and accurate fixed asset accounting processes Lead Cross Functional Impact to optimize PowerPlan Partner closely with Fixed Asset Accounting, Planning, Treasury, Capital Projects, Operations, and Shared Services IT Support capital project structure, work order setup, construction work in progress (CWIP), asset additions/retirements, depreciation, Asset Retirement Obligations (ARO), and loan tagging Drive Enhancements & System Improvements Lead requirements gathering, testing, and go live support for upgrades, new functionality, and integrations (Maximo, Lawson S3 / Infor CloudSuite FSM, Business Objects, Jedox, and internal interfaces) Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, approval workflows, and disaster recovery processes Support and facilitate critical month end, quarter end, and yearend close steps within PowerPlan Troubleshoot issues, validate results, and support reporting used for financial statements and regulatory filings Guide and Empower Users Create and maintain process documentation, training materials, and workflow maps Deliver training and provide ongoing support to end users across the organization Champion System Performance & Innovation Monitor system performance and resolve issues with minimal disruption What You Bring Education Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or related field Experience 3+ years supporting enterprise financial systems, asset management systems, or ERP platforms Experience in fixed asset accounting, capital project accounting, or project‑based financial environments Extra points for hands‑on experience with: PowerPlan (on‑Prem) Experience with similar systems such as: SAP (FI‑AA), Oracle, JD Edwards, or PeopleSoft Maximo Lawson S3 / Infor CloudSuite FSM Business Objects or other reporting tools Experience in utilities, energy, or other regulated industries is highly valued Familiarity with FERC reporting or regulatory accounting environments Skills That Will Help You Succeed Strong knowledge of fixed asset concepts: capitalization, depreciation, CWIP, ARO, and asset lifecycle management Ability to translate complex business requirements into system solutions Experience building or maintaining approval workflows and internal controls Advanced analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting abilities Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across accounting, operations, planning, treasury, and IT Organized, self‑directed, and comfortable managing multiple priorities Why Join Oglethorpe Power?
