Job Summary:
Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) registered nurse position in Lynchburg, Virginia. This role involves working with a diverse patient population, including medical-surgical, telemetry, cardiac, neuro, and stroke patients. The position requires orientation occurring every other Monday and involves a 12-hour night shift schedule.

Job Details:

• Location: Lynchburg, Virginia
• Schedule: Nights; 12 hours per shift; minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid VA or Compact license; 0+ years of experience; active CPR and BLS certifications; experience in charge nursing preferred; Cerner EMR experience preferred; minimum two years of work history with explanations for employment gaps over 90 days; skills checklist; copy of Nursys license; all requested time off must be included at submission.
• Preferred Qualifications: Prior charge nurse experience; Cerner EMR experience.
• Additional Information:
  • Prior travel experience is required for all Central positions.
  • The RN will receive appropriate pay differential and training for charge responsibilities.
  • The patient population includes a mix of medical-surgical, telemetry, cardiac IMCU acuity, neuro, and stroke patients.
  • The unit aims to follow 2-3 weekends per month but may vary based on unit needs; discussion with the healthcare provider is recommended.
  • Limited RTO; client can cancel up to 36 hours before the assignment due to census changes.
  • Orientation occurs every other Monday unless otherwise posted.
