Surgical Technologist

Job Summary: Responsible for ensuring proper care and use of surgical instruments. Anticipates the needs of the surgical team. Establishes and maintains sterile field during surgical procedures in the operating room. Required Skills: High School diploma or GED. Completion of an appropriate surgical technician program. Certification or Surgical Technician training from the military is required. 2+ years Surgical Technician experience. Experience in orthopedic and total joint procedures is needed. Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center strongly preferred Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians BLS accredited by AHA Who We Are We are part of a much larger team with United Surgical Partners International (USPI).
