Licensed Optician

Position Overview Deliver exceptional customer service and high‑quality eyewear to patients and customers as a Licensed Optician at LensCrafters. Major Duties & Responsibilities Welcome all customers and set clear expectations Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescription lenses Act as a leader in optical knowledge and customer service Take and record measurements, accurately adjust and fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs Assist the team with complex product needs and prescriptions Use technology accurately under time pressure, demonstrating exceptional product knowledge and using appropriate tools Be proactive, explore root causes of issues, and proactively solve problems to exceed expectations Multi‑task, prioritize, and manage time among competing priorities Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPI’s and competencies Maintain store appearance, helping to keep the environment clean, attractive, and organized Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices Stay resourceful, self‑motivated, and dedicated to continual learning, improvement, and results Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management Basic Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent State licensure Experience in optical dispensing Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener, and team builder Knowledge of current store merchandise Strong basic math skills Awareness of current fashion trends Selling skills and ability to use an iPad/tablet Familiarity with POS, computers, and calculators Embrace new technology and change Preferred Qualifications Previous customer service and retail experience Benefits Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
