We are hiring immediately for an experienced Purchasing Agent for its envelope manufacturing facility in Williamsburg, PA.Cenveo provides competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.Job SummaryThe Purchasing Agent supports the procurement team by handling day-to-day purchasing activities. This role ensures the timely acquisition of raw materials, supplies, and equipment needed for manufacturing operations. Accuracy, organization, and effective communication with vendors and internal departments are key to success.Pay & Schedule $24 -- 26/hr (depending on experience)Day Shift position (hours to be discussed with Hiring Manager)Schedule: Mon--Fri; occasional SaturdaysPrimary Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)These are essential functions of the position. Qualified applicants or incumbents must be able to perform them, with or without reasonable accommodation, in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).Process purchase orders and maintain accurate ERP recordsMonitor deliveries to ensure timely arrival of materialsCommunicate with vendors on pricing, availability, and order statusResolve discrepancies with invoices, shipments, or quality issuesMaintain documentation for compliance and auditsCoordinate with production, warehouse, and maintenance teams to support operationsManage raw material inventory levels and place special orders as neededProvide administrative support to the purchasing team and prepare reportsAnalyze quotations, evaluate vendor capabilities, solicit bids, and develop alternate sourcesNegotiate with and select vendors to secure quality materials and services at favorable termsVerify accuracy of receiving reports and review/approve requisitions and purchase ordersEnsure adherence to purchasing policies and proceduresCoordinate disposal of waste and recyclable materials as requiredWork overtime when necessary to meet business needsOther (Non-Essential) Functions The duties listed are typical for this role but may be reassigned to other employees as reasonable accommodation under the ADA.Other duties and assignments as required.Job Requirements High School diploma or equivalent3+ years purchasing or clerical experience in manufacturing4+ years progressive responsibility in supply chain, forecasting, and planningExcellent organization and problem solving skills with strong attention to detailProficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards)Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills for working with vendors, customers, and internal teamsAbility to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and lead cross functional teamsDemonstrated initiative, urgency, and accountability in a fast paced manufacturing environmentExperience coordinating across departments, plants, and functional areas to ensure production and service qualityComfortable interacting with all levels of management, sales, and external vendors Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions Primarily office-based, with regular time spent on the production floor where exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, and other manufacturing conditions may occurMust follow all applicable safety rules and proceduresRequires periods of prolonged sitting as well as regular standing, walking, reaching, climbing, and lifting to 35 lbs.Manual dexterity, hand/finger coordination, and color vision are essential for handling materials and tasks accurately Cenveo is an EEO Employer
