Position Overview

As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. Your experience in financial analysis, reporting, and compliance will contribute to the overall success of our company.\n

Responsibilities Of The Senior Accountant

• The Senior Accountant will perform general accounting functions, including financial statement preparation, analysis, and reconciliation.
\n
• Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
\n
• Monitor and analyze financial data, identifying trends and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
\n
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
\n
• Assist with the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
\n
• Prepare and review various financial reports, including budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
\n
• The Senior Accountant will manage and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support to foster their professional growth.
\n
• Stay updated with the latest accounting regulations and industry trends, implementing best practices where applicable.
\n
• Support external audits and liaise with auditors as needed.

Required Experience/Skills For The Senior Accountant

\n

• Public accounting experience is required.
\n
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
\n
• Proficient in using accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
\n
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
\n
• Solid understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements.
\n
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
\n
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
\n
• Previous experience with ERP systems is highly desirable.

Preferred Experience/Skills For The Senior Accountant

• Active CPA is preferred.
