Growing together.Reliant Central Check-In has an immediate opening for a friendly, patient focused and detailed oriented Patient Service Specialist to join our team. The Associate Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for the completion of set processes and protocols. Works cooperatively with all members of the care team to support the vision and mission of the organization, deliver excellent customer service, and adhere to Lean processes. Supports the teams in meeting financial, clinical, and service goals.Schedule (FT, 38.75 hours): Monday through Friday, will work 7.75 hrs per day Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:30am to 5pm. The schedule will be determined by the practice manager upon hire.Location: 380 Maple Avenue Shrewsbury MAPrimary Responsibilities:Verifies, re-verifies, and authorizes patient insurance coverage and eligibility utilizing computer-based patient registration/scheduling systems. Verifies and updates demographic, insurance, and other patient information. Confirms, collects, and posts patient co-payments and other outstanding balancesReviews insurance denials to find errorsMaintains records and makes daily cash deposit as assignedIdentifies problem related priorities, and responds to emergency needs by contacting/interrupting physician/provider within guidelinesResolves patients' questions regarding clinic schedules and billing concerns; handles requests for prescription refills, reschedules appointments, etcNotifies providers, patients and others of changes such as new scheduling, re-scheduling, no-show, emergency appointments and add-onsComplies with health and safety requirements and with regulatory agencies such as DPH, etcComplies with established departmental policies, procedures, and objectivesEnhances professional growth and development through educational programs, seminars, etcAttends a variety of meetings, conferences, and seminars as required or directedRegular, reliable, and predictable attendance is requiredPerforms other similar and related duties as required or directedWhat are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group?
