Material Planner

Position Overview Material Planner – On‑Site (5 days) at Trane Technologies. Responsibilities Plan purchased raw material and components by category and supplier. Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production and inventory turn goals. Execute orders and oversee supplier fulfillment compliance. Analyze internal & external conditions leveraging tradeoffs to make decisions to expedite, defer or cancel delivery of goods to achieve prioritized goals. Facilitate problem resolution with Accounts Payable regarding pricing discrepancies and receipt‑to‑invoice reconciliation. Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and annual standard work processes to support rigorous inventory management, supplier relations, data cleanliness, and operational effectiveness. Partner with warehouse team on maintaining Material Control and Flow. Facilitate phase‑in/phase‑out projects associated with design changes, value‑engineering, supplier sourcing changes, and product lifecycle. Actively participate in lean/A3 problem‑solving projects, Managing Daily Improvements (MDI), and Kaizen events. Qualifications Experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, logistics, and purchasing. Demonstrable analytical skills and mathematics. Experience with major ERP platforms; Microsoft Excel proficiency including pivot tables, lookup functions, and charting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of manufacturing, quality control, production planning, warehousing or inventory control. Ability to understand manufacturing engineering processes and interpret blueprints. Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant work experience considered in lieu of a degree. Compensation & Benefits Annual Base Salary Range: $56,300.00 - $101,394.99. Compensation Type: Salary.
