Mechanical Assembler in Jackson, GA

The Mechanical Assembler builds products and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools in a fast-paced production environment. This role follows detailed work instructions and blueprints, performs quality checks, and supports daily production goals while maintaining a safe and organized work area.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical components, products, and sub-assemblies using hand and power tools according to specifications and production requirements.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, work orders, and written instructions to ensure accurate and consistent assembly.
• Measure materials and components accurately using a tape measure to meet dimensional and quality requirements.
• Inspect finished parts and assemblies to verify they meet quality standards and company specifications.
• Operate drills, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, and other production tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation, following all safety guidelines and housekeeping standards.
• Support and meet daily production goals by working efficiently and maintaining steady output.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to resolve assembly issues and suggest improvements to processes.
• Perform repetitive tasks, including standing, lifting, bending, and handling components throughout the shift.
• Report any equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns promptly to the appropriate personnel.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jackson, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
