Ballyhoo Hospitality Group is seeking an energetic, hospitality focused Host to join our third location in Hinsdale.

Concept Overview: DeNucci's is a Ballyhoo Hospitality concept that celebrates the tradition of Italian American dining through handmade pastas, classic dishes, and a lively neighborhood atmosphere, with locations in Lincoln Park, Highland Park, and Hinsdale. The menu reflects the comfort and generosity of Italian cooking with familiar favorites and house made specialties designed for sharing around the table.

Each restaurant is designed to feel vibrant and welcoming, creating a space where guests gather for celebratory dinners, casual meals with friends, or a glass of wine at the bar. With its warm hospitality, classic Italian flavors, and energetic dining rooms, DeNucci's brings the spirit of a neighborhood Italian restaurant to communities across Chicago and the North Shore.

Job Summary:

The Host role is pivotal in creating a positive first impression for our guests. The ideal candidate will be pleasant, detail-oriented, and consistently professional, possessing strong hospitality instincts and a genuine drive to exceed guest expectations. Success in this role requires the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, communicate effectively, and contribute to both Host Stand and Takeout department on a daily basis.

Job Requirements & Qualifications:

• Create and maintain a strong connection to the guests and community.
• Exude warmth and hospitality in all interactions.
• Drive sales and covers through acute management of reservation software
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both with guests and team members.
• Serve guests as part of a team by anticipating their needs and genuine engagement
• Ensure all Takeout orders are prepared and processed in a timely manner
• Accurately process payments for Takeout orders within the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) when inputting Takeout orders into the POS system.
• Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both front and back of the house.
• Ability to learn the menu and comfortably guide the guest
• Passion to learn and participate in daily food and beverage training.
• Proficiency in Restaurant reservation systems
• Ability to maintain a clean working environment.
• Must pass general information and food and beverage quizzes.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
• ServSafe and BASSETT/TIPS Certified.
• Night and weekend availability is required.

Compensation: Hourly ($19.00 - $25.00) plus tips
