Maintenance Mechanic 2 page is loaded## Maintenance Mechanic 2remote type: No Teleworklocations: Harborview Medical Centertime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: REQ-0000121547**Job Description**$3,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible new part-time and full-time employees joining UW Medicine**Harborview** has an outstanding opportunity for a **Maintenance Mechanic 2.****WORK SCHEDULE*** 100% FTE* Mondays - Fridays* Day Shift**DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION**Harborview Facilities Engineering: Our goal is to respond in a timely manner to your building maintenance needs; to make alterations and repairs to the systems needed to maintain patient care and a healing environment at Harborview.**POSITION HIGHLIGHTS*** Become a part of an exceptional team supporting mission-critical care at our region's only Level 1 Trauma and Verified Burn center, and King County's "safety net" hospital**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBLIITIES*** Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all types of mechanical equipment such as electrical drive motors, laundry, kitchen, and air-conditioning equipment; change oil, grease, change or clean filters, drive belts, sprockets, shafts, and bearings to ensure proper operation* Perform maintenance, operation, and repair of electrical, mechanical and structural systems of buildings and utility distribution;* Operate hand and power tools in a skilled manner; fabricate material and equipment in workshops* Remodel and construct facilities in accordance with project requirements; assist in the preparation of engineering data under the direction of an engineer;* Repair windows, doors, screens, floors, floor coverings, and painted surfaces; install, maintain, and repair electrical connections, switches, circuits, electrical equipment, thermostats, and valves**REQUIREMENTS*** Completion of a recognized apprenticeship as a journey worker, OR full-journey status in a union; OR four years’ applicable work experience.
