Operating a fleet of more than 120 aircraft—including the Saab 340B, Embraer 120, Fairchild SA227, Beechcraft 1900, and Beechcraft 99—Ameriflight delivers reliable service from bases across the U.S. Basic Duties Help installation, maintenance, and repair workers in maintenance, parts replacement, and repair of aircraft Adjust and connect or disconnects wiring, piping, tubing, and other parts, using hand tools or power tools Perform duties, such as furnishing tools and supplies to other workers; cleaning work area, machines, and tools; and holding materials or tools for workers Assemble and disassemble machinery, equipment, components, and parts Clean or lubricate machinery, equipment, instruments, tools, work areas, and other objects, power tools and cleaning equipment Help mechanics maintain and repair vehicles, industrial machinery, and electrical equipment Position vehicles, machinery, equipment, physical structures and other objects, for assembly or installation, hand tools, power tools, and moving equipment Assist with preheating, launch and recovery, servicing, and fluids Towing of aircraft Experience Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance Requires the ability to understand and retain information provided verbally and written Requires knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair, and maintenance Must be a current student enrolled in accredited Aviation Maintenance Program for Airframe & Powerplant Certification Requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Must be eligible to work in the U.S without visa sponsorship Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English and be able to communicate effectively with other employees Must be able to interpret documents such as policy, repair and safety manuals Positive disposition, professional attitude, professional appearance Must meet airport badging requirements, including a TSA Security background check Successful completion of pre-employment required DOT drug screening and other required background checks Must have a valid Driver’s License and meet all company insurance criteria Physical Requirements Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to manipulate objects, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds Ability to perform repetitive tasks Work Environment Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to manipulate objects, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 Ability to perform repetitive tasks May work outdoors, in weather as necessary May work near moving aircraft and machinery May work in a potentially noisy work environment Benefits Ameriflight strives to provide our employees a good work-life balance and are constantly working to improve our benefits Competitive Salary Opportunity for growth and promotion Full Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits Company provided Life Insurance 401K with company match Vacation We are proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
