(USA) Member Team Lead

Position Summary Assists management with the supervision of associates in the assigned area of responsibility by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training associates on processes and procedures, providing direction and guidance on member service approaches to resolve member complaints and issues according to company guidelines, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Supports recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates in alignment with Open Door Policy. What you’ll do Communicate and support membership by providing information on membership types, programs and benefits to current and prospective members; process memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts; encourage renewals; participate in sales and marketing events; complete and maintain marketing recaps and required documentation; strive to meet membership goals; promote the value of Sam’s Club products and services. Provide and ensure member service by acknowledging the member and identifying needs; assist with purchasing decisions; locate merchandise; guide and support members regarding self-service technology; assist with transactions using registers or self-checkout; ensure club pickup orders are filled. Oversee assigned area by handling claims and returns; zone the area; organize merchandise; identify shrink and damages; maintain availability of carts and flatbeds; assist members with transporting items; follow cart retrieval procedures and maintain parking lot cleanliness. Complete accounting records and other documentation by following office procedures; provide funds for proper register operation; create and interpret financial analyses; assist with accounting investigations; prepare daily deposits; oversee cash fund transfers; investigate overages/shortages; maintain confidentiality and accuracy of financial and personal information. Develop, communicate, and implement processes to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other partners; analyze information from multiple sources; monitor progress and results; identify and address improvement opportunities. Demonstrate and promote compliance with company policies, procedures, and ethics; explain and apply these in business processes; implement action plans using Open Door Policy; assist management with correcting ethical and compliance issues.
