As a Sustaining Electrical Engineer, you’ll focus on maintaining and enhancing existing fire detection hardware – including control panels, detectors, and notification devices. Your work will help ensure long-term product reliability, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.This is a hybrid position based at our Fire Detection Engineering facility in Westford, MA. Candidates must be commuting distance to the office, or able to relocate. Various relocation packages are available. How you will do it Analyze and resolve hardware issues in existing productsCollaborate with global engineering, customer support, and compliance teamsImplement design improvements and cost optimizationsSupport product lifecycle activities, including component obsolescence and redesignsMaintain documentation and ensure alignment with regulatory standardsWhat you will needRequired Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering3+ years experience in embedded hardware design and troubleshootingProficiency with debugging tools (oscilloscope, logic analyzer)Preferred Experience with low-power analog circuit designKnowledge of AC/DC and DC/DC convertersFamiliarity with microcontrollers and embedded systemsSALARY RANGE: $85,000 - $125,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
