Mammography Tech - Outpatient Imaging

Job Summary Position: Mammography TechnologistStatus: Full TimeSchedule: Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.Sign‑On Bonus: $10,000 (new full‑time employees only) Essential Job Functions Produce quality mammography images for interpretation. Assume responsibility for patient safety by using proper exposure and protective measures. Educate and explain procedures to patients. Follow departmental protocol for procedures unless otherwise specified by the Radiologist. Obtain and document patient history and pertinent information. Ensure proper identification of patient and demographics in PACS. Communicate with attending Radiologists and verify provider orders. Adhere to infection control standards specific to patient care. Prioritize and organize work assignments, adjusting priorities based on changing business situations. Operate medical imaging equipment properly and safely. Demonstrate awareness of Radiation Safety Procedures for self and others. Ensure equipment is in acceptable condition by conducting routine quality control checks. Follow department protocols in the production of screening and diagnostic mammograms. Follow regulatory guidelines and perform QA/QC as mandated by ACR/MQSA. Follow mammography procedures for needle localizations and stereotactic biopsies as required. General Job Functions Demonstrate knowledge and compliance with safety, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations. Maintain organization, self‑motivation, and efficiency while working well in a team setting. Deliver compassionate patient care with satisfaction as a priority. Adhere to ALARA principles while delivering quality, safe patient imaging. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment. Perform other duties as required and attend departmental meetings when necessary. Education, Certification, Computer and Training Requirements Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) with mammography certification (M) required. Current New Jersey State Radiographer License in good standing. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Minimum of 2 years’ experience performing mammography. Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing. Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record System, RIS, and PACS System. Travel Ability to commute to satellite offices as needed. Compensation Hourly pay range: $40.38 – $50.48. Compensation is based on industry standards and factors such as experience and location.
