Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

Location: Lufkin, TX

End Date: 10-12-2026

Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts, 18:00-07:00, every other weekend and holidays required

Hours per Week: 36

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to patients with CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, CKD, and other medical conditions
• Monitor telemetry strips and respond to changes in patient status
• Collaborate with charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse educators to ensure optimal outcomes
• Float to all med/surg units as needed to support the team
• Work with patient care technicians (PCTs) to deliver coordinated care

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Med/surg nursing for CHF, diabetes, PNA, CKD
• Strong communication and teamwork
• Time management and adaptability

Requirements

• Active RN license in Texas (or compact state)
• Great communication and time management skills
• Experience with telemetry monitoring and reading strips
• Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend
