divh2Food and Beverage Coordinator/h2pThe Food and Beverage Coordinator is integral to the food beverage operation and provides guests with a safe and pleasant dining experience on the property. The Food and Beverage Coordinator is responsible for the food and beverage ordering production and service for all food and beverage outlets on the property (where applicable) including the grillroom, snack bar, banquet facility, beverage carts and any other food and beverage operations. The Food and Beverage Coordinator will supervise all food and beverage production and other kitchen/beverage personnel, will develop and cost out menus as well as monitor the labor budget for the food and beverage staff and maintain the highest professional food/beverage quality and sanitation standards./ppEssential Job Functions/pulliPrepares food; develops, costs, and maintains, prepares and serves menus for all food outlets on the property./liliTends Bar; develops, costs, and maintains, prepares and serves menus for all beverage outlets on the property./liliHires, trains and supervises all food/beverage personnel./liliSchedules and coordinates the work of all food and beverage personnel to ensure that all food and beverage preparation is economical and technically correct./liliEnsures that high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are maintained throughout the kitchen and bar at all times./liliEstablishes controls to minimize food/beverage waste and theft./liliSafeguards all food beverage preparation personnel by implementing training to increase their knowledge about safety and sanitation./liliForecasts, budgets and prepares action plans pertaining to the operation./liliMaintains cost controls by conducting a monthly food beverage inventory./liliMeets or exceeds cost of goods sold budget./liliMaintains good relationships with all sales reps and suppliers for the property./liliOrders/purchases all foods and beverages through approved suppliers/vendors as well as necessary food and beverage preparation supplies, utensils and equipment./liliMaintains kitchen equipment by following appropriate operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns and performance of preventive maintenance./liliDevelops costs and tastes all recipes for food beverage preparation and presentation that provide consistent high quality at minimal costs./liliComplies with the Department of Health regulations./li/ulpOther Duties/ppPerforms related work as required./ppKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities (These are pre-employment KSA that apply only to Essential Job Functions.)/pulliKnowledge of--/liulliFood preparation, storage and service skills./liliBeverage and Bartending skills./liliScheduling and labor costs/liliFood service sanitation./liliSupervisory, coaching and staff development techniques./li/ulliAbility to--/liulliDeal effectively with the public./liliStrong organizational skills./liliEffective use of MS Excel and MS Word./liliMaintain strong working relationships with suppliers, vendors and sales reps./li/ul/ulpRequired Qualifications (Note: Any acceptable combination of education, training and relevant experience that provides the above knowledge, abilities and skills may be substituted on a full-time year for year basis.)/ppTraining and/or Education:/ppHigh School Diploma or equivalent/ppExperience:/ppTwo years of progressive responsible food and beverage experience which will include six months supervisory/management experience./ppLicenses or Certificates:/ppAbility to obtain a food health department certificate if required./ppSpecial Requirements:/ppMust be 21 years of age./ppSubject to background investigation./ppPhysical Demands:/ppWork requires long periods of standing, frequent walking indoors, repeated bending, crouching, stooping, stretching or reaching; recurring lifting of objects up to 49 pounds./ppUnusual Demands:/ppNone./ppFLSA Status:/ppNonexempt/ppCompensation Steps:/ppPay rate: $20.00 per hour/ppGrade H10, Hourly position, up to 40 hours per week/ppDepartment of Parks and Recreation, Chesapeake Hills Golf Course/ppPosition closing date: May 30, 2026/ppPlease Note: This position will close at 11:59 p.m. on May 30, 2026.
