Tech - Cath Lab/EP

Job Description

Job Summary:

The Cath Lab Tech is responsible for performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in a busy cardiac catheterization laboratory. The role requires expertise in adult cardiology, structural procedures, and emergent support, ensuring high-quality patient care and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Perform diagnostic cardiac catheterizations, PCIs, and structural interventions, including TAVR and Watchman procedures.
• Operate and troubleshoot advanced imaging and procedural equipment such as Siemens Artiz Q, Impella, IABP, and IVUS.
• Collaborate with physicians and team members to deliver efficient and effective patient care during complex procedures.
• Maintain sterile technique, ensure safety protocols, and accurately document procedural details within Cerner EHR.
• Respond to call rotations, including weekday nights and weekends, providing emergent support as needed.
• Stay current with procedural advancements and participate in ongoing training and certifications.

Qualifications:

• Hold ARRT (BD) and ARRT (R) certifications, with minimum 1 year of Cath Lab experience in diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Possess valid active WV or Compact RN license; pending licenses accepted with active license prior to start.
• Demonstrate proficiency with adult cardiology and structural procedures such as LHC, RHC, PCI, CTO, ECMO, and TAVR.
• Be able to work independently, handling complex cases with confidence and competency.
• Be able to stay flexible with scheduling, including call and weekend shifts.
• BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association are required.
