Park Life Events Curator

The Connell Company

Job Description

Job Description

At The Park, we believe the best experiences create connection. They give people a reason to gather, discover something new, celebrate, and come back for more.

We are looking for a Park Life Events Curator who brings energy, creativity, and a genuine love of people to everything they do. From social gatherings and seasonal celebrations to cultural programming, family experiences, and unexpected activations, you will create a dynamic calendar of events that brings The Park to life.

This role is where creativity meets execution. You’ll dream up experiences, build the plan, coordinate the details, and make them happen. You should be just as comfortable developing the next great idea as you are managing vendors and budgets, welcoming guests, solving a last-minute challenge, or jumping in during setup.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Develop fresh, engaging event concepts and programming that bring people together, build community, and create experiences people want to be part of.
  • Own events from concept through execution, including planning, timelines, vendors, entertainment, staffing, décor, logistics, and contingency planning.
  • Manage event budgets, purchasing, expenses, staffing, schedules, and resources with strong organization and accountability.
  • Create and manage a dynamic calendar of social, seasonal, cultural, family-oriented, recreational, and community events and activations.
  • Stay connected to hospitality, entertainment, cultural, and social trends and turn great ideas into memorable, engaging, and shareable experiences.
  • Build strong relationships with vendors, entertainers, artists, community partners, and internal teams to bring each experience together seamlessly.
  • Serve as a visible, energetic, and welcoming presence during events while anticipating challenges and solving problems in real time.
  • Take a hands-on approach to event setup, execution, and breakdown, and use feedback and results to make each experience better than the last.

What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years of hands-on event management or production experience. Show us what you can do. We’re looking for examples of events and experiences you’ve taken from an idea through successful onsite execution.
  • Proven ability to develop creative, engaging event concepts and programming that drive participation, build community, and create memorable guest experiences.
  • Strong experience managing the operational side of events, including budgets, timelines, vendors, staffing, logistics, and competing priorities.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and moving details without losing sight of the overall experience.
  • Experience building and managing relationships with vendors, entertainers, artists, contractors, community partners, guests, and internal teams.
  • A creative, upbeat, social, and hospitality-minded approach, with the confidence and energy to be a visible presence throughout events and the ability to remain calm and solutions-focused when plans change.
  • Flexibility to work a schedule that reflects the event calendar and needs of the business, including days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.
  • A willingness to be on the move and hands-on, including event setup and breakdown, extended periods of standing and walking, and lifting or carrying event materials up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • A current, valid driver’s license and ability to drive as required for business-related responsibilities.
  • Ability to work fully on-site at The Park in Berkeley Heights, NJ. This position does not offer remote work.

Supporting Your Success

  • 100% employer-paid medical and dental coverage
  • Exceptional retirement benefits, including a generous employer-funded pension
  • Paid time off and company-paid holidays
  • Employer-paid membership to a premier fitness and wellness facility
  • Company-paid life insurance and additional employee protections
  • Employee dining, hospitality, and lifestyle perks across The Park
  • The opportunity to shape programming, create memorable experiences, and have a visible impact on how people experience The Park.

Bring your creativity, your energy, and your ability to make things happen. Come help us create the moments that make The Park a place people want to experience again and again. We’d love to hear from you.
