Job Summary The Production Associate at RWB Thrift is responsible for executing diverse tasks and processes within backroom operations. This position requires attention to detail, physical endurance, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Production Associates may be assigned to various roles within the backroom. A top performing individual is eager to enhance and broaden their skills, enabling them to perform well in multiple areas of the backroom as business needs dictate. Below are brief descriptions of various job tasks for a Production Associate on any given shift. Task Descriptions (examples) Hanger: Ensure products destined for the sales floor are properly hung and placed on the appropriate rack, with attention to color order, sleeve length, and garment type. Tagger: Accurately affix price tags to products and enter prices into the pricing machine. Learn pricing with the Pricer to prepare items for the Sales Floor. Pricer Support: Learn pricing tasks to provide coverage during the Pricer's absence. Tallyer & Sensor Support: Count items for the sales floor and attach sensors where required, paying attention to sensor placement and fabric types. Runner: Deliver priced merchandise to designated locations on the sales floor, monitor the sales floor for safety, and assist customers as needed. Key Responsibilities Perform diverse tasks and processes within backroom operations as assigned Maintain cleanliness and organization in backroom areas Follow company policies and procedures for efficient and safe operations Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and support store operations Qualifications Previous thrift, retail, warehouse, or back of house experience is preferred but not required High school diploma or GED preferred Physical Requirements Ability to safely perform job functions in accordance with ADA, FMLA and other applicable standards, including meeting productivity requirements Occasionally lift/carry up to 25 lbs; frequently exert up to 25 lbs; constant light exertion when handling objects Stand for extended periods; manual dexterity and fine motor skills; balance and agility Visual acuity at close and distance ranges Work Environment Dynamic, busy atmosphere with a fast-paced environment Noisy environment due to activity on the sales floor and in the backroom Bright lighting throughout the store area Regular interactions with customers, donors, and coworkers Flexibility to switch tasks or departments as needed Language Requirements Employees are not required to communicate exclusively in English, but may need to understand and communicate in English for interactions and instructions.
